About MCFL
Founded in 1994, McFarland’s Llama Farm is a four generation, 70 acre farm situated in the serenity of central Ohio. With 90 llamas, everyone shares in the responsibilities of the farm. Sue and Don McFarland purchased their first three llamas just to have something different in their barn. Sue is primarily responsible for the daily feeding and care. Don is primarily responsible for buying llamas! He is also in charge of public relations. Don works hard to be sure that everyone stays on task and that the llamas are well maintained. Michael and David Ruckman are active showmen working daily to train performance and pack animals. Cindy and Mike Ruckman are Michael and David's parents. It’s not uncommon to see Cindy in the show ring, or judging at an ALSA Fleece Show. You most often see Mike on the sidelines or just around the farm.
Our sign says “Visitors Welcome." Please know that it is sincere. We enjoy guests...on-line, on the phone, or in person!
